Food Service Positions
| Avoid move-in day crowds and avoid early arrival charges! If you get a job in Housing food services, you can move in as early as September 19, without being charged the daily fee for early arrival. Dining Services provides students with excellent work opportunities. It's a great place to work, and because it's on campus, you don't lose time getting to and from work. Work hours are tailored to fit your class schedule, and you get a free meal with each shift.

| Avoid move-in day crowds and avoid early arrival charges! Move in as early as September 14, without being charged the daily fee for early arrival. Residential Networking has many openings each fall for Connection Technicians (CTs). CTs install ethernet cards and UO Network applications on student computers. Training is provided during the week prior to Residence Hall check-in. CTs who are residents get to move in early and are paid for training and approximately 40 hours of work before classes start. CTs have the potential to work during the school year, and many gain experience to land other computer-related jobs on campus. Call (541) 346-4223 for more information.

| ONGOING | Student Painter
| Painting:
Works under the direction of Trades Maintenance worker, Paint crew leader and assistant crew leader. Performs all types of painting duties, including cleaning, masking, spackling, sanding, caulking, removing wallpaper, and using brushes and rollers to apply paint, and performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned. Must be able to work well with co-workers, customers, and general public. Employees in this position must be able to competently and safely use painting equipment, cleaning chemicals, and be able to lift and carry heavy objects.
Workers must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution or provide documentation of other student status.
Preference will be given to UO students. Applicants must be 18 years old by June 14,2010. Student employees in this position must be able to do sustained physical labor in all types of weather conditions, follow written and oral instructions and practice safe work procedures. Workers will be required to present photo identification; social security card; proof of age, Proof of student status; I-94 and I-20 front and back copies( if non-resident alien); green card or I-151 front and back copies(if resident alien).

| Carpentry/Maintenance:
Works under the direction of staff Carpenter, Trades Maintenance workers, and assistant crew leaders. Performs all types of carpentry duties, including cleaning, sanding, caulking, sawing, routering, gluing, applying plastic laminates, assembly and mounting of furniture, applying spray lacquer with HVLP equipment, and misc. tasks. This position is also responsible for cleaning of radiator fin tubes in resident rooms, cleaning mechanical rooms, and general labor. Must be able to work well with co-workers, customers, and general public. Employees in this position must be able to competently and safely use all types of power tools including routers, drills, saws, table and chop saws, painting equipment, air compressors, cleaning chemicals, and be able to lift and carry heavy objects.
